James Xiao, Chief Executive Officer and Director

James Xiao joined UCT as Chief Executive Officer and a member of our board of directors in September 2025. Mr. Xiao is a proven technology leader with a successful track record of unlocking value through cutting‑edge technologies, market expansion, and operational excellence. With over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor, solar, and display industries, he spent 19 years at Applied Materials in a range of leadership roles, most recently as Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the company’s multi-billion dollar semiconductor products group. He joined Applied Materials in 2006 through the acquisition of Applied Films, where he was President of the China branch, overseeing operations, service and sales. Mr. Xiao holds a B.S. in Applied Physics from Dalian University of Technology, an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, and has completed executive leadership training at Stanford University. 

Michael Keogh, Chief Financial Officer

Michael Keogh joined UCT as Chief Financial Officer in August 2026. Mr. Keogh is an accomplished finance executive with a distinguished track record of leading business transformations, improving financial and operational performance, and profitably scaling complex global organizations.

Mr. Keogh brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the semiconductor, technology, industrial, and automotive sectors. Prior to joining UCT, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Ford Model e and Integrated Services during a period of significant transformation. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Bright Machines and held executive leadership roles at Apple, Stanley Black & Decker, Apple, and Intel. 

Mr. Keogh holds an MBA from Cornell University and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Robert Wunar, Chief Operating Officer

Robert Wunar joined UCT as Chief Operating Officer in March 2026. Mr. Wunar is an experienced operations executive with more than 30 years in the semiconductor capital equipment industry, recognized for leading global manufacturing, supply chain performance, and operational execution. Prior to joining UCT, Mr. Wunar served as COO/Managing Director of Business Unit Operations at Applied Materials from 2020 to 2026 where he was accountable for revenue, profitability, and end-to-end supply and demand execution for numerous product lines. Previous leadership roles include Managing Partner at Applied Manufacturing Group, Principal at HelmSmart Consulting, and Senior Director of Business Operations at SolarCity. Earlier in his career, he spent over two decades in a variety of leadership and engineering roles at Applied Materials. Mr. Wunar holds a B.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology.

Chris Cook, Chief Business Officer

Chris Cook joined UCT as President of our Products Division in April 2022 and was appointed Chief Business Officer in August 2025. Mr. Cook’s track record includes 25 years of successful leadership and general management with semiconductor and electronic systems companies, including Renesas Technologies, Infineon Technologies, Flex, and Cypress Semiconductor. With these companies, Mr. Cook and his teams drove profitable growth by developing valuable technologies and products, optimizing global operations, and solving tough problems in ways that built lasting trust with customers. In addition, he has led numerous strategic initiatives to scale and improve customer experience, employee engagement, and financial performance via the digital transformation of processes and services. Mr. Cook holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Technology from Purdue University and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.

Jeff McKibben, Chief Information Officer

Jeff McKibben joined UCT in 2021 as the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Mr. McKibben possesses over 30 years’ experience managing IT in large, global high-tech manufacturing companies and has extensive experience with international M&A, product development, supply chain complexity, sales and marketing innovation, program management and building organizational competency. Prior to joining UCT, Jeff was CIO at ON Semiconductor, a $6 billion global manufacturer driving innovation in energy efficient electronics. He previously held a range of roles at Hewlett Packard in global IT management, consulting, and enterprise program management.

Mr. McKibben holds an M.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and a B.S. in Humanities and International Relations cum laude from Georgetown University.

Jamie Palfrey, Chief Human Resources Officer

Jamie Palfrey is the Chief Human Resources Officer. Ms. Palfrey has spent more than 25 years leading global HR teams in over 40 countries in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Before joining UCT, Ms. Palfrey served in executive and senior management roles in technology companies, including Shape Technologies Group, FEI Company, Lam Research and ConocoPhillips. She brings a strong and diverse background with a passion for strategic talent acquisition, global compensation/benefits and total rewards programs, organizational design, development, succession planning and employee relations.

Ms. Palfrey holds a master’s degree in Education with a focus on Occupational Training and Development/Instructional Design from the University of Louisville and a B.S. in Business from Portland State University.

Thomas T. Edman, Chairman

Thomas T. Edman joined the UCT Board in June 2015. Mr. Edman served as Chief Executive Officer of TTM Technologies Inc. from 2014 until his retirement in 2025, and was a member of its Board of Directors until May of 2026. Prior to TTM Technologies Inc., Mr. Edman held multiple management roles at Applied Materials Inc. including Group Vice President and General Manager of the AKT Display Business Group and Corporate Vice President of Corporate Business Development. Before that he served as President and CEO of Applied Films Corporation from 1998 until Applied Materials’ acquisition in 2006. Mr. Edman has also served as General Manager of the High Performance Materials Division of Marubeni Specialty Chemicals Inc. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Jabil, Inc. (NYSE: JBL) and Materion Corporation (Nasdaq: MTRN), and is the Chairman Emeritus of the Global Electronics Association, a trade association for the electronics manufacturing industry. Mr. Edman holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies (Japan) from Yale University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Edman brings to the Board of Directors his business acumen and experience in the technology industry, having served in numerous senior executive roles with sizeable technology companies, including as CEO of a public company. Mr. Edman also has extensive experience in Asia and with compensation-related matters.

Clarence L. Granger

Clarence L. Granger has served as a member of our Board of Directors since May 2002, and as Chairman of the Board from October 2006 to May 2026. Beginning in 1996, Mr. Granger served in multiple roles within the company including Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations, culminating with 12 years as UCT’s Chief Executive Officer. Before joining UCT, Mr. Granger held executive management roles at Seagate Technology, HMT Technology and Xidex, including holding the position of Chief Executive Officer for HMT Technology from 1993 to 1994. Mr. Granger has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.

Mr. Granger brings to the Board of Directors his thorough knowledge of UCT’s business, strategy, people, operations, competition and financial position. Mr. Granger provides recognized executive leadership and vision in addition to a global network of customer, industry and government

David T. Ibnale

David ibnAle has served as a director of the UCT Board since November 2002. David T. ibnAle is a Founding and Managing Partner of Advance Venture Partners LLC. He has 28 years of experience as an investor in high-growth technology companies. Before co-founding AVP, Mr. ibnAle was a Managing Director of TPG Growth, the growth equity and middle-market investment platform of TPG. Prior to joining TPG Growth, he was an investment professional and Partner at Francisco Partners and an investment professional at Summit Partners. Mr. ibnAle has served on the Boards of Directors of several public and private technology companies, and currently serves on the Boards of Affinity, Alto Solutions, AutoLeap, Morning Consult, Boulder Care and Midi Health. Mr. ibnAle also serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Foundation. Mr. ibnAle holds a B.A. in Public Policy and an M.A. in International Development Policy from Stanford University, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Mr. ibnAle provides the Board of Directors with expertise in corporate finance, accounting and strategy. Through his experience, Mr. ibnAle brings a thorough understanding of business management, including investment, corporate strategy and M&A to UCT’s growth initiatives.

Emily Liggett

Emily Liggett has served as a director of the UCT Board since May 2014. Emily Liggett is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Liggett Advisors, a strategy/implementation consulting business. Previously, Ms. Liggett was CEO of NovaTorque, Inc., CEO of Apexon, CEO of Capstone Turbine and CEO of Elo TouchSystems. Before these roles, she held assignments in sales, marketing, operations and general management at Raychem Corporation, including GM of the Raychem Telecommunications Division. Ms. Liggett is presently a director of Materion Corporation. She was previously a director of Kaiser Aluminum, MTS Systems Corporation and of Immersion Corporation, and serves on the Purdue Research Foundation Board of Directors. As a board member, Ms. Liggett has developed expertise in oversight of corporate sustainability matters including environmental, social and governance best practices and implementation. She teaches Corporate Governance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Ms. Liggett has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, an M.S. degree in Manufacturing Systems and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

Ms. Liggett provides the Board of Directors with expertise in executive leadership, corporate governance and international business strategy. Through her experience managing worldwide businesses, partnerships and international joint ventures, Ms. Liggett brings a thorough understanding of operations, new product development and sustainable business development for highly technical businesses to UCT's growth initiatives.

Ernest E. Maddock

Ernest E. Maddock has served as a director of the UCT Board since June 2018. He has held leadership positions at multiple global companies during his career. Mr. Maddock served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Micron Technology from 2015 until his retirement in 2018. Prior to joining Micron, Mr. Maddock served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Riverbed Technology. Before joining Riverbed, he spent 15 years at Lam Research Corporation (“Lam”), rising to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. His previous roles at Lam included Vice President, Customer Support Business Group; and Group Vice President and Senior Vice President of Global Operations. Currently, Mr. Maddock serves on the Board of Directors of Avnet, Inc., Ouster Inc., Teradyne, Inc., and previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for Intersil Corporation. Mr. Maddock holds a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.

Mr. Maddock brings to the Board significant experience in business, operations and finance. His knowledge of the critical drivers across the semiconductor ecosystem will bring valuable guidance to executing UCT’s growth strategy in this exciting market.

Jackie Seto

Jackie Seto has served as a director of the UCT Board since January 2020. She is currently Principal of Side People Consulting, partnering with emerging companies and with non-profit organizations advising on strategic planning and leadership consulting. Previously, Ms. Seto spent 22 years at Lam Research, where she advanced to the position of Group Vice President and General Manager of the Clean Business Unit. Her previous roles at Lam included Corporate Vice President and General Manager in the Reliant Business Unit, Vice President of Product and Strategic Marketing and Managing Director of Emerging Businesses. Ms. Seto currently serves as a member of the Faculty Advancement Board for McGill University Faculty of Engineering and as the President and a member of the Board of Directors for the International Women’s Forum Oregon. She previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, TriAegis Residential Services, for Mastersranking.com and as the Board Secretary of Prevent Child Abuse Oregon. As a board member, Ms. Seto has developed expertise in oversight of corporate sustainability matters including environmental, social and governance best practices and implementation. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.

Ms. Seto provides the Board with extensive experience in product and business strategy and marketing. Her knowledge of the semiconductor value chain aids UCT in capitalizing on growth opportunities within these markets. Joanne Solomon

Joanne Solomon has served as a director of the UCT Board since February 2025. Ms. Solomon possesses more than 35 years of financial and corporate leadership experience, including as Chief Financial Officer for several publicly traded companies. She spent 16 years in increasingly responsible roles at Amkor Technology Inc., one of the world’s largest providers of semiconductor packaging and test services, culminating in nine years as its Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Solomon holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Drexel University, and an M.B.A. in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management (now part of Arizona State University). Ms. Solomon currently serves on the board of Viavi Solutions Inc., a publicly traded company.

Ms. Solomon provides the Board of Directors with expertise in corporate finance, accounting and strategy. Through extensive finance leadership across multiple technology companies and industries, Ms. Solomon brings a thorough understanding of global expansion and acquisitions.
