Our Commitment to Quality
UCT manages product quality by using a detailed series of controlled documents tailored to every product. A detailed process control sheet documents and controls every step of the build, test and inspection process. Work instructions feature a step by step instruction for inspection and testing processes to assure they are consistent and result in accurate characterization of every product.
Checklists are used extensively and highlight each production requirement so that specific product details and customer requirements are directly verified at each process step. Final product verification assures that all customer requirements are in place prior to delivery.
Detailed statistics are maintained for critical processes and reviewed regularly with our team members. We utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodology to drive our continuous improvement efforts. Process improvements are initiated to address critical issues.
We partner with our customers and suppliers to ensure ongoing product quality. Suppliers are surveyed and audited on a regular basis. Customer surveys are used to create a customer satisfaction index that measures on-time delivery, product quality, service, and other critical factors.
UCT's quality system is audited regularly to assure all aspects of the ISO 9001- 2000 quality management system are in place and effective. In addition, senior management regularly reviews our quality system to assure that it is effective and responsive to customer needs.
