UCT is seeking an experienced and talented Sr. Director, Product Line Management to join our team in Hayward, CA! The Sr. Directors role in the company is critical to driving the success of a specific commodity for our business. The person in this role needs to have a multi-faceted skillset, an analytical mind, and a strong business sense. This position will also include collaborating with marketing, driving forecasting, and P&L responsibilities for the specific product commodity. This role will be involved in the overall strategy, development of new products, market research, customer alignment, and the overall management & support of critical product commodities. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops the strategies and plans for optimization, growth, market penetration & diversification of the product line
  • Identifies and facilitates opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Communicates to Account Executive/Sales the status of product line ramp plans, capacity, metrics, and open actions.
  • Generate business cases for product extensions and product enhancements
  • Responsible for identifying product line risks, developing risk mitigation strategies, and establishing appropriate partnerships to cover the risk.
  • Understand the aspects of a customer’s business which applies to our company’s core competencies & support
  • Assists Customer Business Operations (CBO)/Ops leadership in understanding product line business bottlenecks and inconsistencies. 
  • Builds peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management personnel.
  • Partners with operations, Customer Business Operations (CBO), and Finance to improve product line, margin models. 
  • Partners with NPI, Sales, CBO, and site operations leadership to ensure BKM transfer and customer alignment.
  • Provides modeling business cases involving strategic M&A in product line space and managing integration of M&A transactions.
  • Drives with Operations leadership the development of growth and burst capacity strategies.
  • Partners with Marketing, Sales, and direct customers to develop global (and regional) forecasting & strategic initiatives.
  • Develop competitive analysis, technology roadmaps, competitive analysis, and customer-aligned capabilities in product line management.
  • Partners with Sales and Business Development leadership to improve product line business pricing strategies for new customer business.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives.

  • Experience with PLM practices and principles

Educational/Certification Requirement: 

  • BA/BS degree in business administration, operations management, or technical discipline. Four-year college degree from an accredited institution.
  • Masters or MBA (Preferred)

Experience Requirement: 

Work Experience: 

  • More than 15 years’ experience in the capital semiconductor industry in the area of operations, marketing, product line management, project management, engineering, and product development
  • Experience developing and implementing complex corporate programs
  • Comfortable presenting to senior executive staff and external customer executives
