UCT is looking for a Customer Business Operations Manager to join our Chandler, AZ team! The Customer Business Operations Manager at UCT reports to the Director, Customer Business Operations and is responsible for leading multiple assigned CBO functional area(s) to ensure that business operations continue to remain effective. This includes business improvement projects, customer orders, and management of ongoing programs for the following functional areas: revenue forecasting, sales & operations planning (S&OP), business intelligence/reporting, business KPIs (margin, drop in assessments, quoting, expedite fees), customer communications, and contracts. They are to lead the successive refinement of several functional areas working in partnership with a cross-functional team to streamline the overall business model.

He/She possesses strategic, tactical, and analytical thinking skills, they are customer-service oriented, have experience in margin analysis and improvement, and is highly motivated and proactive in identifying areas of improvement and drives new programs and processes for improved customer service. The person in this role will interact closely with members of various departments, including senior decision-makers, to ensure alignment in strategy, priority, messaging, task ownership, and process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading multiple assigned operational functional area(s) to ensure that the business operations remain effective as the business transforms. This includes business improvement projects and management of ongoing programs for the following functional areas:

  • Revenue forecasting
  • Sales & operations planning (S&OP)
  • Business intelligence/reporting
  • Business KPIs
  • Customer communications
  • Customer and Marketing contracts
  • Quoting
  • Margin Analysis
  • Process improvement and implementation
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Leads the ongoing business metrics and reporting program to ensure defined KPIs are reported against targets. Work with cross-functional team of stakeholders to achieve approved KPIs.
  • This includes creation of key stakeholder dashboard (reports creation and distribution) and communications.
  • Responsible for ensuring a solid customer experience is provided when managing all customer orders and return, repair, and exchange requests.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Responsible for managing complex, non-standard customer orders and returns, repairs and exchange requests to ensure that customer requirements are met on a timely fashion. This includes providing the necessary support required by the sales administration staff to process complex, non-standard sales and repairs orders until completion.
  • Manage customer communications, including interface with customer portals. The person in this role will become the Sales expert in these application functions.
  • Ability to work flexible times or evenings as required.
  • Perform duties as assigned, subject to approval by direct manager.
  • Perform tasks necessary to complete performance objectives.
  • Assist team members as needed.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ year’s professional experience in managing manufacturing services projects, policies, and processes.
  • At least 7 years of business and customer services experience required.
  • At least 3 years of Business Intelligence and reporting applications experience required


Management Experience:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory/management experience preferred
