UCT is seeking an experienced and talented Technical Solutions Specialist to join our team in Carrollton, TX! The Technical Solutions Specialist will provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to customers, customer support team, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex semiconductor manufacturing parts cleaning problems.
  • Respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems.
  • Reports design, reliability, and performance problems.
  • Initiates maintains, and develops direct contact with customers before, during, and after the sale process.
  • Supports the sales team by developing and maintaining positive customer relations with clients/customers, which can substantially affect service and/or product revenue(s).
  • Works with various departments to meet product sales goals. Works with customers and/or distributors to receive an accurate account of parts failures and provides reports to management.
  • May be involved in customer process review and training.
  • Updates Customer Relationship Management system with the status of customer interaction returned materials issues and additional information as needed.
  • Records and reports the status of parts returns, parts damaged, replacements, sales orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Ensures information is accessible by sorting and filing documents/forms.
  • Handles requests for additional company materials.
  • Maintains records of damaged parts, delivery schedule changes, product enhancements or changes and product pricing, and resolves return credit problems. Works with customers and/or distributors to receive an accurate account of parts failures and provides reports to management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Technical Content Expert –Possesses up-to-date knowledge, with demonstrable experience, in semiconductor parts cleaning and the ability to manage and drive quality and operations initiatives
  • Knowledge of the Business – Sufficiently demonstrates an understanding of issues relevant to parts cleaning methodologies; broad and thorough understanding of the sales cycle; effective and functional knowledge of parts cleaning technologies and processes; proficient and up-to-date knowledge of vendors and customers base, U.S. and abroad.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • BA/BS degree in Technology or direct equivalent experience

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • 7 years’ directly related experience
  • Good customer communication and handling skills
  • Technical knowledge related to parts cleaning, chemical or semiconductor experience
  • Positive attitude
  • Good communicator, able to articulate and effective in communication
