UCT is seeking an experienced and talented Project Manager to join our team in Hayward, CA! The IT Project Manager will manage cross-functional projects (non-SharePoint) in coordination with the IT team and cross-functional project teams. Research and understand new systems to provide leadership in providing solutions to business requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and manage cross-functional projects (scoping, planning, and scheduling)
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment and agreements around project issues
  • Work with and manage 3rd parties (consultants and vendors)
  • Provide status updates, work plans to the project team and IT management
  • Partner with UCT’s IT Application team on governance and project prioritization
  • Identify new areas where systems can be leveraged, processes can be changed/automated or existing solutions can be enhanced

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of project management/scheduling tools like Clarizen, SmartSheet, Jira, etc
  • Knowledge of a collaboration, document repository, or intranet systems (like SharePoint)
  • Knowledge of documentation, communication, and project management tools like MS Visio, MS Projects, and MS PowerPoint
  • Experience of working with multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in Project Management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of technical and business resources
  • Excellent presentation skills to executives and groups
  • Meticulous attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability and interest in training users in tools, processes, procedures

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, Operations, or similar.
  • PMP certification will be a plus but is not a requirement

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience with managing/coordinating projects preferably in a manufacturing company or in the semiconductor industry
  • Desired experience with selecting and managing external partners (product vendors, consultants, etc)
