Brian Bachman Joins Ultra Clean Board of Directors
 

MENLO PARK, CA, May 12, 2004 — Ultra Clean Holdings (NASDAQ: UCTT) the parent company of Ultra Clean Technology Systems and Service, Inc. today announced that Brian Bachman has joined the company’s board of directors, effective March 2004.

“Brian is an industry veteran, and his experience and insights will complement and strengthen our board,” said Clarence Granger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ultra Clean. “We are honored to have him join us.”

Bachman was the Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Axcelis Technologies, Inc. from 2000 until 2002. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and Group Executive – Hydraulics, Semiconductor Equipment and Specialty Control of Eaton Corporation and Vice President and General Manager for the Standards Products Business Group of Philips Semiconductor B.V. His background also includes various positions with FMC Corporation, General Electric, TRW, General Semiconductor, and ITT Industries. Bachman serves on the board of directors of Keithley Instruments, Inc. and Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. He is also an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s Kellogg McCormick Master of Management in Manufacturing program.
