MENLO PARK, CA, May 14, 2004 — Ultra Clean Holdings (NASDAQ: UCTT) the parent company of Ultra Clean Technology Systems and Service, Inc. today announced that Kevin "Casey" Eichler has joined the company’s board of directors, effective March 2004.

Eichler has been the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MIPS Technologies, Inc. since 1998. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of Visigenic Software, Inc, Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of National Information Group, and Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Mortgage Quality Management, Inc. His background also includes management positions with NeXT Software and Microsoft. Eichler serves on the board of directors of SupportSoft, Inc., and Magma Design Automation, Inc. He holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from St. John’s University.
